What is 3056?

3056. (Section 3056 California Penal Code)

Prisoners on parole shall remain under the legal custody of the department and shall be subject at any time to be taken back within the enclosure of the prison.

3056 of the Penal Code provides legal authority to arrest and return to the custody of the Department of Corrections, felons found to be in violation of the terms and conditions of their paroled release from the California State Prison system.
